JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

San Camillo IRCCS Srl Società Unipersonale is looking for post-doctoral researchers with background in neuroscience, neurology, and engineering. The candidate will work in a dynamic and young environment, contributing to clinical research, alongside with a team of experts, in the fields of translational neuroimaging, non-invasive brain stimulation, advanced neurophysiology and computational neuroscience. Research activities are conducted at the Clinical Imaging and Stimulation Laboratory (PI Giovanni Pellegrino) and in collaboration with other internationally renowned partners.San Camillo IRCCS provides access to the following in-home equipment: simultaneous EEG-MEG (300+ sensors), 3T MRI scanner (Philips), hd-EEG (several systems, up to 250 channels), TMS (3 machines for all types of stimulations), tDCS/tACS (several, including high-resolution stimulation and simultaneous tDCS/EEG), near-infrared spectroscopy, two neuronavigation systems (optic and magnetic), eye tracking, BCI, instrumentation for simultaneous TMS-EEG and simultaneous EEG-fMRI, BCI and much more.

Details regarding the terms, conditions and starting date of the assignment, as well as the remuneration, will be established in the individual contract depending on the candidate’s titles and previous experience. The contract will not be effective until the candidate selected by the commission will sign it.

METHOD OF COMPLETION

The selection procedure will include an initial evaluation of the participants’ professional curriculum vitae followed by an interview where technical and professional skills will be assessed. This process is aimed at identifying, whenever possible, the best candidate for the position.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION

In order to be eligible for the selection procedure, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

General Requirements:

  1. Italian citizenship, without prejudice to the equivalences established by current laws, or citizenship of one of the member states of the European Union, or belonging to a non-EU state in compliance with all the requirements for residence in Italy;
  2. Absence of conviction record and ongoing criminal proceedings;
  3. Passing the physical medical evaluation. San Camillo IRCCS’s occupational physician will provide medical check-up to ensure the psychological and physical suitability of the candidate for the role;
  1. Knowledge of Italian language is preferred but not required.

 Specific Requirements:

  1. Degree
  2. PhD or equivalent
  3. Proven research activity in the field

The aforementioned recruitment requirements must be possessed within and no later than the application deadline.

INTERVIEW

The calendar of interviews will be published on the company website; the interviews can be held whether in presence at the IRCCS headquarters, or remotely according to the modalities that will be communicated with the calendar. During the interview, candidates must be in possession of a valid identification document. Failure to attend the interview will be deemed automatically considered as a waiver.
