Bio

Rachele Pezzetta was born in Italy in 1990.

She is a psychologist and has expertise in neurophysiological signal (EEG/MEG).

She received her Master Degree in Neuroscience and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation at the University of Padova (2014).

She did extensive research trainings in neuroscience with different neuroscientific techniques (TMS at the University of Udine with Prof.Urgesi, fNIRS at Radboud University in Nijmegen with Dr.Claassen, MEG at San Camillo Hospital in Venice with Prof.Semenza).

She moved to Rome where she received her PhD in Cognitive, Social and Affective Neuroscience at Sapienza University (2019), under the supervision of Prof. S.M.Aglioti, using a combination of EEG and Virtual Reality to study error monitoring in health and disease.

During her Ph.D she performed a visiting period with Prof. R. Ridderinkhof (Amsterdam).

She received some small national and international awards to pursuit her research projects on cognitive neuroscience.

Research Interests

Rachele is primarly interested in investigating the neurophysiological correlates of body motor action, error monitoring and awareness, and cognitive control in healthy and pathological populations.

Her research will mainly use neuropsychological and neurophysiological tools (mainly high-density EEG) to further investigate those topics.
