Bio

Born in Venice, on August 18, 1987; she graduated from Grammar school, Liceo “Franchetti” in Mestre (VE) in 2006, then in 2010 she graduated in Speech Therapy at the Università degli studi di Padova with the score of 110/110 cum laude.

At the same University, in 2013 she also obtained a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences with 110/110 cum laude, while in June 2016 obtained the 1st level Master in Management and Coordination of Health Professions at La Sapienza, Rome.

She attends the first year of the Research Doctorate in “Human Sciences and Education” at Università Cattolica, Milan.

From February, 2010 she has worked as a speech therapist at IRCCS Ospedale San Camillo s.r.l.; froma 2019 she is the Head of the Communication and Swallowing Research Laboratory.

From 2017 she represents Speech Therapist sitting on the Board of Directors of SIRN (Italian Neurological Rehabilitation Society).

She is the author of scientific publications in international journals and was a speaker at national congresses and a teacher of advanced training courses.

Research Interests

Research interest is expressed in two main areas, considering the consequences of degenerative and non-degenerative neurological diseases:

  • development of evaluation/rehabilitation protocols for the advancement of knowledge on cognitive-communicative and linguistic disorders of adult neurological patients, especially in case of aphasia, dysarthria and dysphonia;
  • development of evaluation/rehabilitation protocols for the advancement of knowledge on swallowing disorders (dysphagia) of adult neurological patients.
