Silvia Albanese obtained a MSc in General and Experimental Psychology in 1993, at the University of Padua (Italy). In 2011, she completed the specialization in Psychotheraphy at the Scuola di Psicoterapia Cognitiva di Roma (School of Cognitive Psychotherapy of Rome, Verona branch).
Since 1994 she has worked as clinical neuropsychologist at the IRCCS San Camillo (Lido, Italy) in the Neuropsychology Rehabilitation section, performing evaluation and treatment of cognitive and behavioral outcomes of brain lesions.
She teaches courses on the evaluation and treatment of cognitive and behavioral disorders, and on clinical neuropsychology case management and description in universities and health institutions.
Silvia Albanese research interests focus on neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation, with a particular interest for the factors that contribute to ameliorate the rehabilitation outcomes of brain damaged patients, such as the degree of awareness for the state of illness and the involvement of caregivers.
