Address: Via Alberoni 70, Venice Lido

Office: Clinical Neurobiology lab, First floor

Roberta Marozzo was born in Italy in 1989.

She is a biologist with expertise in molecular and histopathological analysis.

She graduated in Health Biology (master degree) at the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2014 and she obtained the qualifying examination of biologist at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2015.

During the research internships, she focused her activity on the study of neuromuscular diseases at Ospedale Sant’Orsola (Italy), where she gained technical skills in transmission electron microscopy, morphological and ultrastructural pathology.

This experience allowed her to undertake the research career in neurological field and in 2017 she started working at IRCCS San Camillo where she has improved her abilities in biological sample collections for the Biobank (BBMRNR), molecular, clinical, cellular and histopathological technique in order to investigate the neuromuscular disorders.

Research Interests

Roberta is particularly interested in investigating new tissue, molecular and protein biomarkers that are valid indicators of therapeutic response in clinical rehabilitative treatment of patients affected by Rare, Neuromuscular and Neurodegenerative diseases.

Her research activity is based on multidisciplinary approach where clinical, muscle imaging, molecular and histopathological data are investigated to monitor disease progression and to target a rehabilitative intervention for the patients.
