Michela Agostini was born in Italy in 1972.
She is physical therapist and an expert in assessment and treatment of motor control disorders and Neurorehabilitation.
At San Camillo IRCCS she coordinates the Laboratory of Telemedicine and the Telemedicine Unit.
She received the BSc in Motor Science at University of Bologna (Italy) in 1997, the BSc in Physical Therapy and the MSc in Rehabilitation Health Professional at the University of Padova (Italy) in 2002 and 2014, respectively.
After extensive training and research in motor control disorders she moved to the field of neuroscience applied to rehabilitation.
In the October 2018 she received the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).
Her research interest deals with the development and application of telemedicine, virtual reality and robots for rehabilitation of neurological conditions.
The specific areas of interest are:
- planning, implementation, analysis and writing clinical trials in the field of rehabilitation by innovative technologies;
- telerehabilitation at home for patients with neurological conditions.
