Imaging Technology Laboratory
The Imaging Technologies Laboratorydeals with the scientific advancement of the techniques of acquisition and reconstruction of brain Magnetic Resonance (MRI) images. The Imaging Technology lab team also integrates resonance data with other imaging modalities and provides scientific support to studies using MRI data and San Camillo Network projects, such as the IRCCS Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Network (RIN). It also collaborates with the Imaging Diagnostic Service and uses the facilities provided by the Hospital.
Activities:
- Development of accelerated sequences that improve the quality and diagnostic potential of images in a reduced scanning time;
- Development of functional and structural biomarkers to evaluate the damage caused by neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple or accidental sclerosis such as cerebral stroke and their recovery.
- Study of the interactions of physiological variables with the resonance data and the mechanisms of activation of brain connectivity, in order to clarify the functioning of the brain both under normal conditions and after brain damage.
