Dr Francesca Meneghello is a Medical Doctor with a Neurological degree and Master in Neurorehabilitation.
She has been working for years in the field of Neurorehabilitation as Head of the Neuropsychological Rehabilitation Unit at IRCCS SRL San Camillo Hospital in Venice, Italy.
With her team of neuropsychologists and speech therapists, she mainly deals with patients affected by stroke consequences and degenerative diseases.
In-patients and out-patients are taken in charge for comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and advanced cognitive rehab programmes; a memory clinic is also active.
Head of the Nr. 5 Research Line on Neuropsychological Rehabilitation from 2005 to 2019, she is responsible of the Cognitive Neurology Research Unit, with international collaborations.
She is Adjunct professor on Neurosciences at IUSVE Education Psychology graduate program in Mestre,Venezia.
On 2013, she founded the first therapeutic garden devoted to people admitted for neurorehabilitation.
Her research interest is grounded on clinical neuropsychology, mainly focused on rehabilitation protocols in stroke patients (both for spatial and linguistic deficits) and on degenerative diseases, above all in patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment.
She is also interested in horticultural therapy & neurorehabilitation research.
Her projects consider behavioural and neuroimaging data, including those from EEG, fMRI and MEG, for a better comprehension of the brain networks functional interplay.
